From the very beginning, Gab and Elamae were classmates… and then friends.
In their second year of college, Gab—who used to build and repair computers—found himself helping a familiar client: Elamae, who needed a new PC for her daily college tasks.
By third year, during CEIT Week, Gab was working as a volunteer officer creating banner designs. He reached out to his cute friend, Elamae, for help—and she gladly did.
One evening after a thesis meeting with their client, fate nudged their story forward.
They met at a 7/11 in Maysan, where Gab handed Elamae a siopao. A simple snack, a small conversation… but something began to spark between them.
From that day on, their connection only grew.
Gab once even slipped trash into Elamae's bag as a joke. They spent countless hours meeting for thesis work, slowly becoming each other's motivation—not just academically, but emotionally.
Gab started visiting Elamae's home more often, and without even realizing it, the two were already falling for each other.
After a successful thesis defense and a small celebration with the team, Gab brought Elamae home. With a little liquid courage, he formally asked her to be his girlfriend. Elamae said yes.
February 22, 2021 became their monthsary and their anniversary—a date they've cherished for nearly five wonderful years.
Like any real relationship, theirs faced challenges.
Misunderstandings, jealousy, Gab's short temper, and moments when he didn't realize he was being insensitive. There were days when things almost fell apart.
But they held on.
They grew.
They learned.
And they chose each other, again and again.
Through constant conversations, shared dreams, and early talks of marriage and the future, their relationship strengthened.
Then came their first international trip together—to Hong Kong.
High above the city inside a cable car, with Elamae trembling from her fear of heights, Gab proposed. She said yes—partly from love, partly from fear—but fully from the heart.
